Top 5 Wednesday: TL:DR

Today’s Top 5 Wednesday post is all about movie adaptations you have watched but you haven’t already read the book. I am not a movie person at all, and I actually had to look up all the book-to-movie adaptations there have been for the past 15 years to figure out this list. There are many movies that I saw first but then read the book (like Love, Simon). But I have managed to find 5 movies that I enjoyed but still have not read the book, and to be honest I will probably never read them. Here they are in chronological order.

The Bourne Identity (2002 film) based on the 1980 spy thriller by Robert Ludlum.
A Walk to Remember (2002 film) based on the 1999 romance novel by Nicholas Sparks.
Freaky Friday (2003 film) based on the 1972 children’s novel by Mary Rodgers.
Divergent (2014 film) based on the 2011 young adult dystopian novel by Veronica Roth.
Five Feet Apart (2019 film) based on the 2019 young adult book by Rachel Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry, and Tobias Iaconis

What are some movie adaptations you’ve seen but haven’t read? Let me know in the comments. Until next time!

    1. It was one of my favorites too! I think it’s one of Lindsay Lohan’s best movies.
